Still more letters?!?
S is for Sunsets
All pups are beautiful, but some (like me) really leave an impression. Sunsets are that way too.

T is for Telescope
A radio telescope, to be exact. St. Croix is home to one of the ten radio telescopes that make up the Very Long Baseline Array. It’s used by astronomers to measure the positions and distances of objects far out in space. The power, precision, and ability to produce incredibly detailed observations come from the fact that the ten telescopes are spread across great distances and work together as one giant system. I always love stories about productive collaboration.
U is for Urchins
I’ve stepped on some pokey things before. Sea urchins are something I hope never to step on. My dad did once. It seemed very unpleasant. He spent quite some time picking barbs out of his feet. Even though urchins can be painful to step on, they are an important part of the ocean ecosystem. They graze on algae and seagrass, helping keep the underwater home healthy by making space for other species to thrive.

V is for Vest
Life vests aren’t just for humans. Pups can and should wear them too when they are heading out into deep water. I’m very happy my humans found one that fits me. Now, when I jump ship, I’ll be safe until they retrieve me.

The sunsets are glorious! I love sunsets too! Zuka is so cute!!!!
