Who knew there were so many letters in the alphabet?!
N is for Night Sky
As a relatively short-statured pup, a lot of my life is spent looking forward and down. I’m smelling the smells, surveying my surroundings, licking the floor, and, you know, doing pup things. But every now and then, when I’m outside and the world around me quiets down, I look up and am met by more stars than I can count. From time to time, I even see one of them shoot across the sky.
Sometimes, the problems of this world can feel so big. In those moments, it helps me to look up and remember there is so much more to life than what I can see or touch right in front of me.

O is for Ocean
Or, as my dad calls it, the cruel mistress.
Being on, by, or in the ocean comes with a certain degree of danger (depending on what you’re doing on, by, or in the ocean). But it also comes with such wonder and beauty, both above and below the surface.
P is for Pelicans
Not to be confused with penguins. ;)
Q is for Queens
More specifically, the Fireburn Queens. These remarkable women helped lead formerly enslaved laborers in a massive revolt against unjust working conditions and oppression. In 1878, they helped ignite the great Fireburn, during which more than 50 plantations and parts of Frederiksted were burned.
They remain a powerful testament to the culture of resistance, courage, and resilience woven into the history and current life of St. Croix.

R is for Rainbows
Just like in life, some seasons bring more rainbows than others. Even when they do show up, I’m reminded they are only possible because there was also rain. Beautiful things and difficult things are sometimes part of the very same story.

N-R is lovely ! Made me smile.
